Neill May Be On The Move

Galatasaray table a $1.4million offer for Australia captain Lucas Neill

January 13, 2010 Galatasaray have tabled a $1.4million offer for Australia captain Lucas Neill, who only joined Everton on a free transfer less than four months ago.

The 31-year-old Socceroos captain signed for Everton in September, having left West Ham United.

Everton manager David Moyes may be disappointed to lose Neill after signing the Australian at a time when no other Barclays Premier League club would.

However, the prospect of bringing in such a fee for a player of Neill’s stature, who cost nothing, could tempt Moyes.

A proposed move to the Turkish club would also reunite Neill with Australia teammate and Galatasaray star Harry Kewell.

This could be a good move for Neill, wonder if he will accept. I doubt it though, he has only recently moved to Everton.

Doubt he'll go, maybe after the WC. he doesn't want to go there and get no game time.

It's been confirmed Neill said this in a statement.

"I am delighted to have signed with Galatasaray and play for such a big club with big ambitions in European football,'' Neill said in a statement.

"Galatasaray have a fantastic squad and I am looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead.

Thats a good signing for galatasaray.

Yeah it is I think Neill will get game time, I think he will probably be there best defender.

hopefully neill plays well and stays injury free and has a good world cup campaign with the Socceroos.
